Once again I am forced to post here a notice that someone is impersonating me by posting bogus help wanted ads on Ziprecruiter.com in an attempt to steal people’s identity. If you are reading this and have responded to an ad in which the person identifies himself as David Blake using the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org please contact Ziprecruiter’s Trust and Safety department by e-mailing a link to the job post at email@example.com. DO NOT SHARE ANY PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION WITH THIS PERSON!!! I am currently working with the FTC in an ongoing investigation.
I first want to take the opportunity to wish you all Happy Holidays and the best in 2017! Although it has been a busy year I have not had the opportunity to update the site regularly so wanted to keep you posted. I’m currently showing a piece at the Star Wars themed show called “Son of Skywalker; Imperial Uprising” at Artists Republic in Laguna Beach. The show runs until December 31st and the link to preview the collection is:
Hello all, I’l be showing the panting below titled, “She’s Always Darkest Before the Dawn” at Gauntlet Gallery’s 3rd Annual 12X12 group show opening tonight. The show runs through April 18th and available work will be posted for sale at gauntletgallery.com soon after the opning.
I have posted this warning on my contact page, however I felt it was necessary to post this on my home page in an effort to make sure people who are responding to help wanted ads see this when coming to my site immediately.
Scammers are posting help wanted ads on Craigslist and other sites like Indeed.com in my name stating they are looking for an assistant or bookkeeper. Once you reply to the ad they will request credit card and bank account information. You should never provide this type of information to anyone, and there is no reason a legitimate potential employer would request this information from you. I am not hiring for any position, and most certainly would not use these sites to hire if I was.
Please see the link below for more information related to these scams:

Hello all, excited to be included in Art & Nature: New Contemporary, a group exhibition with a focus on contemprary interpretation of the natural world. The exhibition cosists of over 70 artists from different styles and backgrounds each contributing a 10″X10″ piece of artwork, and is specifically curated by AR4T gallery owner Torrey Cook to accompany the Laguna Art Museum Art & Nature exhibition.
My piece for the show titled “Run Wild”, was inspired by the recent announcement that the earth has lost 50% of its wildlife in the last 40 years. Shocked by the devastation that us humans can cause, it was made to remind us that our actions can impact our environment and the animals we share it with. With that in mind I will be donating 100% of my proceeds from the painting to the World Wildlife Fund. You can read more about them at http://www.worldwildlife.org/
The opening weekend will feature a live performance by Chantal deFelice and Jason Phillips in their collaborative multimedia experience, Pageant of Living Things.
