Hello everyone, I will be having a solo show at the Get Up Gallery that will be running until April 1st. There are a total of 17 new originals and two print releases that are part of the show. The prints will be released this Wednesday, March 7th through the Get Up Gallery at http://getupgallery.bigcartel.com/. The gallery will also be posting some of the originals for sale in their online store as well. Below is the show statement along with some images from the opening. “Sin, Repent, Repeat is meant to pay homage to the people and subjects of Las Vegas that have made it the city of sin. It is often said that all art can be reduced to three subjects: sex, religion and death. This show attempts to cover all three by using imagery directly related to the history of Vegas and its most recognizable icons, from Bugsy Siegel to Elvis Presley to the strippers who inhabited the seedy Casinos of old Vegas.
The subject of religion and its influence on how we view and react to sin is approached in an intensely personal way by an artist who is attempting to shed the mental and moral conflict of his religious upbringing.”
